Family home — home free of safety hazards — Based on LPAs observations, there is an in-ground pool and jacuzzi located in accessible backyard with NO fence or pool covering. Licensee stated the pool covering was removed by husband yesterday. The licensee did not comply with the section cited above in which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Family home — home free of safety hazards — Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as LPA observed there was no approved safety pool cover meeting ASTM International Standard F1346-23, or an alarm meeting ASTM International Standard F2208 that sounds upon detecting entry into the water; a life ring with a minimum diameter of 17 inches that is approved by the U.S. Coast Guard, was not present; a rescue pole with a body hook and a minimum fixed length of 12 feet was also missing; and there was no daily log verifying checks of safety features and equipment prior to opening the facility, which poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care.
