Family home — home free of safety hazards — Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. At the time of the visit, licensee stated firearms and ammunition are locked in a cabinet, stored, and locked separately. LPA is unable to determine if the firearms and ammunition are stored and locked separately, located inside of the locked cabinet, which poses a potential safety risk to persons in care.

Family home — children supervised at all times — Based on observation, interview, record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPA did not observe S2 present during the time of the visit, and by the licensee's own omission, S2 absences will exceed 20 percent of the hours the facility is providing care, multiple days this week, which poses a potential safety risk to persons in care.
