Family home — in-ground pool drowning prevention requirements — Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Pool alarm was not working properly and did not sound off which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Family home — in-ground pool drowning prevention requirements — Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) observed that the pool gate did not open away from the pool and the self latching/self closing mechanism needed tightening as it was not latching from a close distance. LPA also observed that the pool was missing a secondary safety feature such as a pool alarm or pool cover. The gate was also missing a key lockable device placed no lower than 60 inches above the ground.

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) observed that licensee did not have the following safety equipment readily available: life ring with a minimum exterior diameter of 17 inches, a rescue pole with body hook with a minimum fixed length of 12 feet, and proof of daily inspection of the drowing prevention safety features/equipment.
