Staffing Ratio and Capacity (3) More than six and up to eight children, without an additional adult attendant, only if the criteria in Section 1597.44 of the Health and Safety Code are met. This requirement was not being met as: Upon arrival to the facility, LPAs observed licensee assistant providing care and supervision for 8 children, 3 of these children were younger than 24 months. Licensee, arrived 15-30 minutes later. This poses an immediate health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care.
Type B(2)
Each family child care home shall conduct fire drills and disaster drills at least once every six months. This requirement was not being met as: Per records review at the facility the last fire drill conducted was 07/13/2023.This poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care.
(D) Documentation shall be maintained in the infant’s file and be available to the Department for review. Documentation shall include the following: a. Date. b. Infant’s name. c. Time of each 15-minute check. This requirement was not being met as: Per records review at the facility no currently Sleeping logs of infants in care were available for review.
