101638.1 General Sanitation e) Washing, cleaning and sanitizing requirements for areas used by staff and children, or for areas that children have access to, shall include:(1) Floors, except those carpeted, shall be vacuumed or swept and mopped with a disinfecting solution at least daily, or more often if necessary. (2) Carpeted floors and large throw rugs that cannot be washed shall be vacuumed at least daily and cleaned at least every six months, or more often if necessary. This requirements was not met as evidence by: LPA observed dirty diapers in a open container in the intro to preschool classroom and carpets that had dirt and stains. Floors also in the classroom need to be cleaned. This is a deficiency that if not corrected can pose a risk to health to the children in care.
