Fixtures, Furniture, Equipment and Supplies — Based on observation, the facility did not comply with the section cited above, as LPA was able to confirm that multiple sinks that children were using for handwashing had hot water to the touch. Although supervision was being conducted with children washing hands, staff should also be able report when seeing something that could possibly pose a danger to a child in care.
Reporting Requirements — Based on interviews and record review the facility did not comply with the reporting requirements as facility did not report an incident that the facility became aware of to the Community care licensing department.
Written directives for drinking water lead testing — Based upon record review, the facility had one fixture (B) that tested above the Action Level of 5ppb. This posed a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care.
