These rights include...(1) To be treated with dignity in his/her personal relationship with staff and other persons. LIC did not ensure personal rights were maintained for children in care. Based on observations and interviews, 5 of 5 children confirmed LIC spoke inappropriately to children in care. This poses an potential health, safety, and personal rights risk to children in care.
(g) The home shall be free from defects or conditions which might endanger a child. Safety precautions shall include but not be limited to: Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, firearms and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where they are inaccessible to children.
