Family home — in-ground pool drowning prevention requirements — Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with section above there was no barrier observed around the pool.

Family home — in-ground pool drowning prevention requirements — , the a pool alarm was not observed in the pool during operating hours, while not being used.

Family home — in-ground pool drowning prevention requirements — a life ring and body pole were not observed to be visible and readily available at the time of visit.

Family home — home free of safety hazards — Based on observation, interview, record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above installing a swimming pool in the backyard. LPA observed a pool with a slide in the outdoor area. The does not have a fence surrounding all sides. The pool does not meet licensing regulations which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Operation of a Family Child Care Home (b) The home shall be kept clean and orderly, with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. This requirement was not met as evidence: An accessible amount of belongings clothing, furniture and toys n all areas of the home

Personal Rights (a)Each child receiving services from a family child care home shall have certain rightsthat shall not be waived or abridged by the licensee. regardless of consent or authorization from the child's representative... ( (4)To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain.humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse, or other actions..... This requirement was not met by: Children remained in highchairs for a long period of time.

Admission Procedures and Parental and Authorized Representative's Rightsa) (a)The licensee shall inform parents or authorized representatives of children in care of their rights, which include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) To enter and inspect the family child home in accordance with Health and Safety Code Section 1596.857. This requirement was not met by: Parents did not enter the home licensee brings children to the door.

Family Daycare home; in ground swimming pool requirments: A licensee shall perform a daily inspection of the drowning prevention safety features and safety equipment before opening the facility and maintain a log of the inspections to be provided to the Dept. upon request This requirement is not met as made evident by: The licensee did not have logs to provide when requested.

Alterations to Existing Buildings or Grounds: Prior to making alterations or or additions to a FCCH or grounds, the licensee shall notify the Dept. of the proposed change... This requirement is not met as made evident by: The licensee did not notify the Dept. that the gate isolating the swimming pool had been removed

Staff immunization — influenza, pertussis and measles — Based on observation, interview, record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in, licensee does not have measles immunization which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Alterations to Existing Building or Grounds — Based on observation, interview, record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in, licensee did not inform the Department of the installation of the in-ground swimmng pool in the backyard. LPA observed a swimming pool in the backyard. Licensee stated that the pool was completed in December 2023 which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
