Family home — home free of safety hazards — Based on records review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in two of two disaster drills, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. The licensee showed the LPA a list of drill dates showing that the latest disaster drill was documented on 5/7/2024. The licensee stated she had not conducted one since then.
Family home — preventive health training, including pediatric CPR and first aid — Based on records review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in two of two pediatric CPR-First Aid training certificates, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. The licensee showed the LPA expired pediatric CPR cards for each of two licensees in the license. The licensee stated the CPR had to be renewed.
102425(j)(5)(A) Infant Safe Sleep, If the infant is sleeping in a separate room from where the provider is stationed, the door to the room the infant is sleeping in shall remain open at all times. (A) The provider shall be able to visually observe the infant without moving the door. This regulation was not met: Based on observation, the licensee did not meet the regulation for infant C1; C1 was sleeping in a separate room with the door closed. This poses a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care.
Family home — home free of safety hazards — Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not meet the requirement above for two prohibited items; the licensee had a saucer chair and a rocking chair in the daycare are. License stated C2's parent brought it.
Mandated reporter training — Based on observation and records review, the licensee did not meet the regulation above in 2 of 2 licensees, which poses a potential risk to the health, safety, and personal rights of clients in care. The licensees mandated reporter certification was expired. A renewed cerrtification is required every two years.
