Child's Medical Assessments — Based on interview & record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that 1 out of 5 children's records (Child 1 [C1]) did not contain a written medical assessment within 30 calendar days following the enrollment of C1. This poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Reporting Requirements — Based on record review and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that there were several suspected cases of Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (HFDM), but these were not reported to the local health officer until HFMD cases were confirmed.
Personal Rights — Staff acknowledged they were made aware of the child’s need to have ointment applied however, it was disclosed by staff the ointment was never applied. This is a potential risk to the health and safety and personal rights of children in care.
