Family home — preventive health training, including pediatric CPR and first aid — Based on observation, interview conducted, and records reviewed, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as licensee did not ensure they renewed their EMSA pediatric CPR and first aid certification by the expiration date. Licensee also did not ensure their current EMSA CPR and first aid certification was pediatric and included in-person instruction. This poses a potential safety risk to children in care.
Family home — home free of safety hazards — Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that the cabinet under the kitchen sink contained dish washer pods which were accessible, Licensee move the pods during the inspection. Knives are stored in a pull drawer which has a latch that is no longer in working condition. which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. Licensee's kitchen is gated but children will eat in the kitchen.
