Teacher-Child Ratio — Based on observation, interview, and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as there is one fully qualified lead teacher and one fully qualified aide supervising 20 children making the facility out of ratio. There was an adittional staff with no ECE units present. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
101216.2: Teacher Aide Qualifications and Duties: (e) An aide shall work only under the direct supervision of a teacher. (1) An aide who is 18 years of age or older, and who meets the requirements of this section and Section 101216, may escort and/or assist children in going to the bathroom, and may supervise napping children as specified in Section 101230(c)(1), without being under the direct supervision of a teacher. This requirement is not met by: Based on observation, Interview, and record review, On 4/22/24, LPA Tapia-Mandujano observed and was told that S1, S4, and S5 have been left alone with children without the direct supervision of a fully qualified teacher, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Buildings and Grounds — Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as LPAs observed bottled cleaning solutions in arms reach of children and were not stored appropriately which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
