Buildings and Grounds — Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in count that LPA observed that the play ground area was in need of wood chips. LPA also observed that the playground toys and tables were in need of cleaning due to the weather, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Administrator Qualifications and Duties — Based on information gathered through interviews conducted and file review it was determined that the facility does not ensure a qualified director is present during operating hours at all times. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Personal Rights. (a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights. (2) To be accorded safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs. This requirement was not met as: Based off LPA observation 3 out of the 4 classrooms had unlocked cabinets with hazardous chemicals accessible to day care children. Staff immediately removed hazardous items out of the reach of children in care. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
