Family home — home free of safety hazards — Based on the observation, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses a potential safety risk to the children in care. During the facility tour the LPA observed one unloaded firearm and ammunition stored together in a locked safe. Both were in an off limit area. All children were with the Assistant downstairs with a barricade at the bottom of the stairs during the entire facility tour.
Family home — in-ground pool drowning prevention requirements — Based on the record review, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses a potential Health and Safety to the children in care. During the staff file review the LPA was unable to review a current Mandated Reporter certificate for S2.
Mandated reporter training — Based on the observation and record review, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses a potential safety risk to the children in care. During a facility tour the LPA observed a pool alarm which was tested by the Licensee and was in working condition. However, the pool alarm was not ASTM approved.
Family home — preventive health training, including pediatric CPR and first aid — Based on the record review, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses a potential Health, Safety & Personal Rights risk to the children in care. During file review LPA was unable to review a current CPR/1st Aide card for S1 or S2.
