Family home — clean, safe, heated and ventilated — Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Excessive clutter in the home obstructed the playroom windows and limited safe play space in the primary child care areas. Clutter was also observed in the front driveway. The backyard shed was accessible to children and contained a large amount of trash, an unmade bed with stained bedding and mattress, a lighter, zig-zag wrappers, extension cords, and various items stored in an unsafe and disorganized manner. These conditions pose a potential health, safety, and personal rights risk to children in care.
