In touring the facility, LPA observed two razors in a drawer of the bathroom assigned to the children in care. In the backyard there were two lawn mowers accessible to children in the same area assigned for play. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Staffing Ratio and Capacity — Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Upon entering the facility, the licensee was observed caring for 9 children, without an assistant present. The assistant arrived approximately 20 minutes later, while the inspection was already in progress. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

In reviewing facility records, the licensee was not able to provided a current Mandated Reporter Training certificate for their assistant.
