Licensee stated the pool covering was removed by husband yesterday. Family home — home free of safety hazards — Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as LPA observed there was no approved safety pool cover meeting ASTM International Standard F1346-23, or an alarm meeting ASTM International Standard F2208 that sounds upon detecting entry into the water; a life ring with a minimum diameter of 17 inches that is approved by the U.S. Coast Guard, was not present; a rescue pole with a body hook and a minimum fixed length of 12 feet was also missing; and there was no daily log verifying checks of safety features and equipment prior to opening the facility, which poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care.
