Staffing Ratio and Capacity — Based on interview, LPA learned that the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that she operated over her licensed capacity the entire Summer of 2025, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
102416.3 Alterations to Existing Buildings or Grounds (a) …the licensee shall notify the Department of…: (6) Any change from an area of the family child care home previously identified as "off limits" to an area where care and supervision will be provided to children in care. Based on record review and interview, LPA learned that the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that she has used the pool area, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Family home — children supervised at all times — Based on interviews, a child was unsupervised while in the pool area and sustained a non-fatal drowning. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Pediatric health and safety training (CPR/first aid) — Based on record review, Licensee does not have a Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification and her First Aid certification is not issued by the approved vendor, which poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to person's in care.
